Will ask PAC members to summon AG, CAG: Kharge

The Congress today slammed the ruling BJP for misleading the top court on the Rafale pricing and accused the government of committing perjury and contempt of court.

Chairman of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) of Parliament and Congress leader in the Lok Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge said he would ask all members of the PAC to summon the Attorney General (AG) and the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) to find out when the CAG report on Rafale pricing was prepared, when it was shared with the PAC and when it was tabled in  Parliament.

“The government told the SC that the CAG report on the Rafale pricing had been submitted to Parliament and shared with the PAC earlier. They said the report is in public domain. Where is report? There is no report. The government misled the court,” Kharge said. — TNS
