Noted novelist and playwright Kiran Nagarkar dies in Mumbai

Mumbai, September 5

Noted novelist and playwright Kiran Nagarkar, known for his books ‘Cuckold’ and ‘Bedtime Story’, died at a hospital here on Thursday night.

He was 77.

Nagarkar had been ailing for some time and was admitted to the hospital in south Mumbai where he died in the night, hospital sources said. PTI

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
