Chennai, March 6
The Tamil Nadu Government on Monday made late chief minister J Jayalalithaa’s medical records public in an attempt to dispel rumours that surround her death.
Making Apollo Hospitals’ medical reports of the late chief minister public, the state government said Jayalaithaa was diagnosed with respiratory distress and dehydration.
Former chief minister O Panneerselvam and Jayalalithaa’s estranged niece Deepa Jayakumar have claimed that the death was suspicious.
Jayalalithaa died on December 5, 2016, sparking a battle for chief minister's position. — Agencies
