New Delhi, December 8
Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu today assured Parliament that he was ready to discuss the start of a special Sikh-pilgrim circuit train.
To a question by Aam Aadmi Party MP Bhagwant Mann in Lok Sabha, Prabhu said he was ready for it and said the Punjab Government must come up with a demand. Mann wanted a train to link the five Sikh holy places at Amritsar, Anandpur Sahib, Patna, Damdama Sahib at Bathinda and Hazoor Sahib at Nanded, Maharashtra.
BJP’s SS Ahluwalia butted in and reminded the minister that it was not a Punjab issue as two of the five Takhts are outside Punjab.
