Prostitution racket busted, actress rescued
Hyderabad, July 8
A high-profile prostitution racket was busted following a raid at a hotel in the posh Banjara Hills locality here and a 24-year-old budding film actress from Mumbai rescued, the police said on Sunday. Two persons have been arrested.
Acting on a tip-off, the police raided the hotel on Saturday night and arrested the “brothel organiser” along with a customer, a government employee, the police said. The film actress, a native of Agra, was rescued.
During investigations, it was found that Rao and other absconding accused had lured film actresses from Mumbai and other states for sexual exploitation on a weekly contract basis, sources said. — PTI
