Mumbai: Shruti Vinod Shrikhande, a Pune student, has emerged as the national topper among girls in the Combined Defence Services examination conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). The final results of the CDS written exam and interview for entry to the Officers Training Academy, Chennai, were released by the UPSC on Thursday. Shruti is a law student at ILS, Pune and an alumnus of the Army Public School, Pune. Among boys, Nipurn Datta has topped the exam. pti

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
