Rajiv Pratap Rudy resigns as minister amid speculation of Cabinet reshuffle

New Delhi, August 31

Minister of State for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Rajiv Pratap Rudy resigned from the Union Council of Ministers amid speculation of an impending Cabinet reshuffle, sources close to him said on Thursday.

The move comes as BJP chief Amit Shah met Prime Minister Narendra Modi amid speculation of a Cabinet reshuffle.

A party leader played down the meet, saying Shah meets Modi regularly and also pointed out that the meeting comes a day ahead of the beginning of a three-day meeting of the RSS and its allied organisations in Vrindavan. Shah is also taking part in the exercise.

There has been a buzz about a Cabinet reshuffle and BJP sources have indicated that it may happen soon.  PTI
