The condition of former Maharashtra Home Minister RR Patil, who is undergoing treatment for cancer, continues to remain critical.
According to doctors at Lilavati Hospital here, Patil’s condition is stable after undergoing four rounds of chemotherapy.
The senior NCP leader was diagnosed with oral cancer late last year and had undergone a procedure at the Breach Candy hospital. In December, Patil suffered a heart attack and was under treatment.
Earlier this month, Patil, 57, was admitted to Lilavati Hospital and was later shifted to the intensive care unit (ICU) after his condition worsened.
“RR Patil has undergone very aggressive treatment because of which he is weak. But his condition is stable,” party spokesman Nawab Malik told reporters here today.
