Salman Khan''s bodyguard booked for assault
Mumbai, October 26
Bollywood superstar Salman Khan's bodyguard has been booked for assaulting a man in Andheri West early Wednesday morning, an official said here.
According to a complaint by a 25-year-old Akhtar Qureshi, Khan’s bodyguard Gurmeet Singh alias Shera beat him up on Tuesday night after they had an argument, Mumbai Police’s spokesperson Ashok Dudhe said.
The two are also believed to have had an argument over a phone call previously.
Qureshi’s collarbone has been broken in the violence. He registered a complaint at the DN Nagar police station.
Shera has been Khan’s trusted bodyguard for nearly two decades, prompting the Bollywood star to dedicate his 2011 superhit film, ‘Bodyguard’, to him. — IANS
