Tourists to Nagaland can now obtain ILP online

Kohima: Nagaland CM Neiphiu Rio on Friday launched a portal to provide Inner Line Permit (ILP) to domestic tourists online. The ILP is required by non-Nagas to visit Nagaland. The web portal, www.ilp.nagaland.gov.in. will ease the process of getting an ILP by any domestic tourist from anywhere in the country, Principal Secretary and Commissioner Nagaland, Abhijit Sinha said. 100% digitisation of Waqf properties completed      

Kochi: Union Minister for Minority Affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said on Friday 100 per cent digitisation of Waqf properties’ records across the country had been completed. “With Digitisation and Geo Mapping a large number of missing Waqf properties have now become a part of Waqf records,” he added. Maharashtra ex-DGP Arvind Inamdar dead      

Mumbai: Former Maharashtra DGP Arvind Inamdar, who was instrumental in training Mumbai Police’s famous ‘encounter specialists’, died at a private hospital here on Friday. Inamdar (79), suffering from age-related ailments, was undergoing treatment at the hospital since last week and breathed his last at 2.20 am. Inamdar, who had investigated the 1994 Jalgaon sex scandal among other cases, served as state DGP from October 1997 to January 2000. PTI
