Rebel BJP MLA Ghanshyam Tiwari on Wednesday filed an FIR against the party’s Rajasthan media cell for spreading propaganda against him through a Whatsapp group since May 20.
Facing party high command’s anti-disciplinary action, the veteran leader filed an FIR with the Jalpura Police Station here.
Tiwari alleged that the state BJP media cell had a Whatsapp group under the name ‘Team Rajasthan’ and it is linked with thousands of party workers and media houses.
Party’s media cell has been posting false, derogatory, and fabricated messages against him, Tiwari told reporters here.
These kind of unfounded and deliberate messages have hurt him and tarnished his image in party and public, Tiwari, who was served a show-cause notice by party’s Central Disciplinary Committee in May, said.
Tiwari was also openly assailed for his activities by three Cabinet Ministers: Nihalchand Meghwal, Rajendra Rathore and Arun Chaturvedi.
Recently Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje’s loyalist Rohitash Sharma, chairman of the Interstate Water Disputes Redressal Cell, alleged that Tiwari was involved in a property scam.
Sharma also demanded a probe by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) into the alleged wealth of the former education minister (Tiwari) in Raje’s first term.
