The viral ‘Keke challenge’—which involves people getting out of moving cars to dance—has police across the world worried.
Inspired from Canadian rapper Drake’s latest hit song ‘In My Feelings’ from his album ‘Scorpion’, the viral challenge—spelled both as ‘Keke’ and ‘Kiki’—has lit up social media across the globe, leaving police worried of its consequences.
It started with internet star Shiggy’s version—the comedian was seen dancing on a busy street in a video that quickly became viral. What followed was a barrage of videos, all of them taking up what soon came to be known as the ‘Kiki Challenge’.
Soon, other videos appeared, many having “improved upon” Shiggy’s own version—participants began to get out of moving cars to dance.
Police in several countries have issued stern warnings, calling the challenge dangerous—both to participants as well as other road users. This post by Mumbai Police, for example, makes their anxiety clear.
Not just a risk for you but your act can put life of others at risk too. Desist from public nuisance or face the music !

As his challenge began to assume dangerous proportions—with several accidents and broken bones—Shiggy took to Instagram to warn his 1.7 million followers. His post read: “#InMyFeelingsChallenge is not about getting out of moving cars”.
