IIIT-Delhi signs MoA with Data Security Council

The Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology, Delhi (IIIT-D) has signed a Memorandum of Association (MOA) with the Data Security Council of India (DSCI) for conducting joint programmes on Cyber Security and Privacy. 

Through this association, IIIT-Delhi will focus on training, developing and strengthening the practical application of cyber security, encompassing the process and technology elements of cyber threat detection and mitigation. DSCI would organise and facilitate Hackathons, Niche Skill Building training programmes, introduce collaboration projects, and conduct market research and workshops on cyber security and privacy.  We also plan to look at incubating startups on deep tech solutions. 

Technical Internship Training Programme

Japanese delegates and young entrepreneur from Achi Prefecture visited Delhi Paramedical and Management Institute recently for Technical Internship Training Programme(TITP) programme. They were accomplished by Hitoshi Hayano, representative director of Day Care Gifu-Hashima, Japan. 

The visitors were given a guided tour of the institute facilities and accorded a warm welcome. A small interactive session was also organised by the management of Delhi Paramedical and Management Institute.

Kalam Postgraduate Fellowship 

To mark the late President A.P.J. Abdul Kalam’s birth anniversary, the University of South Florida (USF) in Tampa announced the launch of the fifth Kalam Postgraduate (PhD) Fellowship. The Fellowship is offered to students who have graduated (or are in the process of graduating) from an Indian university in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) programme.

 The online application to USF for a PhD program me requires submission of a research proposal in any of the following areas: Applied Anthropology, Applied Physics, Business Ph.D. programs, Cell Biology, Microbiology & Molecular Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science & Engineering, Engineering, Criminology, Integrative Biology, Marine Science and Psychology.

 Awarded to one student per academic year, the USF fellowship waives tuition fee for all four years, pays health insurance and fees and also provides a 12-month, $22,000 stipend, courtesy of the USF Provost’s Office.
