Deepin to lead district cricket team

Ludhiana, August 19

Satish Chander Dhawan Government College student Deepin Chitkara has been selected to lead the district team in the Inter-District Cricket Tournament (U-19) slated to begin in the first week of September.

Besides, Deepin, 23 other players were selected during the trials conducted by the Ludhiana District Cricket Association at Government Polytechnic and Textile College ground, Rishi Nagar, here yesterday. The selection panel was headed by Dinesh Puri with Pawan Pandey and Gagandeep Dhand. The panel shortlisted the probables who would attend a coaching camp prior to the finalisation of the Ludhiana district team.

They have been advised to report to Gagandeep Dhand and Charanjit Bhangoo at Nanaka Sahib School, Gill Road, on August 20 at 9 am.
