Jammu, September 9
Natrang, in its Sunday theatre series, presented a Hindi play ‘Naye Mehmaan’.
The play has been written by Udhay Shanker Bhat and directed by Neeraj Kant.
Natrang also celebrated the birth anniversary of Bhartendu Harishchandra, popularly known as the father of modern Hindi literature and theatre.
Speaking on the occasion, Natrang director Balwant Thakur said Harishchandra used theatre as a tool to shape public opinion. His plays such as ‘Bharat Durdasha’, ‘Satya Harishchandra’ and ‘Andher Nagar’ are a landmark contribution to the Indian literature, Thakur added.
