Lok Insaaf Party (LIP) chief and MLA Simarjeet Singh Bains on Monday conducted a meeting with party workers to discuss the preparations for the October 7 protest march from Kotkapura to Bargari. Bains said the protest march would start from Dana Mandi in Kotkapura and would end at Bargari by covering distance of around 30 km.

He appealed to the people from all religions to come forward to participate in the protest march to get justice. He said they were seeking justice in the cases of sacrilege of Guru Granth Sahib and killing of two Sikh youths in Bargari and Behbal Kalan.

He further said the farmers unions, religious organisations, Lambardar union, BSP and others had given their support for the protest march. He also appealed to the AAP leaders and those who had resigned from the SAD to participate in the protest march. He alleged that the SAD and the Congress had joined hands to deny justice in these incidents. —TNS
