Rich tributes were paid Lt Bikram Singh Rathore of the 6 Kumaon, who made the supreme sacrifice while fighting the Chinese during the Battle of Walong on November 16, 1962, at Sialba Fatehpur village near Mohali today.

Floral tributes were paid to the martyr during a function at Lt Bikram Singh Government Senior Secondary Smart School in the village. The chief guest at the function was Maj Gen Raj Mehta (retd). He narrated the unsung war hero’s tale of bravery. Members of Lt Bikram Singh’s family, representatives of his regiment as well as a host of serving and retired servicemen of the area attended the event.
