Some unidentified people decamped with Rs 50,000 and gold jewellery from a house located in Aman Park area in Ludhiana a few days ago.

The incident took place when the owner Chander Bhushan Singh and his family were out of station.

The police have registered a case against unidentified people in this regard at Sarabha Nagar police station.

In his complaint to the police, Chander Bhushan Singh stated that he along with his family had gone to Gorakhpur, Bihar on March 2.

“We returned back to Ludhiana on Sunday. After reaching home, I found that the locks of my house were broken. I was shocked to find that Rs 50,000, 25-gm gold jewellery and some silver jewellery was missing,” stated the victim.

Investigating officer Assistant Sub-Inspector Kulwant Singh said a case has been registered against unidentified people under Sections 457 and 380 of the IPC.

“We have launched an investigation. We have also obtained CCTV footage of cameras installed in nearby areas and are scanning it for clues,” said the ASI.
