Kathua, March 25
Robbers looted cash from a petrol pump and shot at its two employees in the Seswan area on the Jammu-Pathankot national highway in Kathua district on Sunday night.
The injured were shifted to District Hospital, Kathua, where they were given first aid.
They were later shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, for further treatment. The injured have been identified as Hans Raj of Mahanpur and Parkash Singh of Nagrota Gujjroo in Kathua district.
Sources said three bike-borne robbers came to the petrol pump at Seswan on Sunday night and asked the employees to handover the cash to them.
When the employees refused to handover the cash, the robbers fired three rounds at them, leaving two workers injured, the sources said. The sources said the robbers fled with the cash. A case has been registered and efforts are on to nab the accused.
Youth killed, father hurt in Doda mishap
Doda: A 23-year-old youth was killed while his father received serious injuries when their truck fell into a gorge in Doda district on Monday. The incident took place around 4.30 am near Ganpat Bridge when they were on their way from Jammu to Bhaderwah in a truck that skidded off the road and fell into a gorge. oc
