Balwinder Bindi was a senior SC leader in the BJP and was twice elected as the councillor in a row independently and later joined the BJP.

Arora said the development of the city was being ignored by the BJP-Akali Dal-led corporation, but it will not last long. He said: “The Congress welcomes and respects hard-working leaders and workers. Congress gives such young leaders the best chance to move ahead. There is a lesson for the BJP and BJP leaders, who make workers live in a false dream world, and keep filling their own pockets by ignoring workers.”

Arora asked Balwinder Bindi to list the works which were pending in his ward so that all works could be completed to provide relief to residents.

Bindi said: “With the efforts being made by Sunder Sham Arora and the projects approved by the government for the development here, the city shall become number one.”

Anil Kumar Sonu, Sunish Jain, Gulshan Lai, Munish Jain, Charanjit Arora, Paramjit Singh Pamma, Naresh Kumar and Ranjeet Kumar Rana were also present on the occasion. Arora said when such hardworking leader was coming with the Congress, nobody can stop the development and progress of Hoshiarpur.
