IPS officer ASP Dhruv Dahiya who had come to limelight after challaning a car of a high court judge at Ludhiana has did it again.

A bus of Badals’ Orbit Aviation Private Limited was impounded by the Dasuya police last night on the order of Dasuya ASP Dhruv Dahiya. Dahiya saw the bus parked in a no-parking zone and ordered to challan the bus. It is the second time that the ASP has impounded a bus of Badals. Earlier, a bus was challaned on March 12.

Dahiya during his regular checking last night at around 10 pm found a bus parked in a no-parking zone. The bus (bearing registration number PB03AC5601) belonged to Orbit Aviation Private Limited.

He asked the officer on duty, ASI Daljit Singh, to challan the bus. The bus driver, Sukhwinder Singh, was asked to show the registration certificate and other documents of the vehicle. However, he failed to produce the required documents. He had only Xeorx copies of vehicl’s RC. Dahiya ordered to impound the bus and challaned it for not having relevant documents and for wrongly parking.

Later, action as per law was taken to bound the bus. The bus was parked in the police station compound till afternoon.

The ASP confirmed that in the afternoon the representatives of the company paid the fine at the DTO office against the challan and got the bus released from the police station, Dasuya.

Dahiya said: “It is our priority to maintain law and order. We are duty bound to regulate the traffic, make people obey the traffic rules and stop eve-teasing. Hence, to ensure these things such actions are taken as per the course of law.”
