Azim Premji Foundation Fellowship Programme
The Azim Premji Foundation has announced its annual Fellowship Programme. The programme aims to give a grounded experience of the educational and social space to a broad range of people across sectors. It is a two-year full-time programme where the first year will involve teaching in government schools and participating in the activities of the Field Institutes of the Foundation. The second year would be focused on capacity building of the Fellows, preparing them for roles they can play in the Field Institutes after completing the Fellowship.
Eligibility: Applicants should have three to ten years of work experience, with a postgraduate or a professional degree in any discipline and the desire to contribute to quality and equity in education.
Proficiency in the local language is a must and candidates should be open to relocate to the districts where Azim Premji Foundation operates.
Details: The monthly stipend offered would be Rs 28, 800 (all inclusive).
Selection criteria: The selection is based on an online assessment followed by personal interviews.

Fellowships for business journalists
The McGraw Fellowships for Business Journalism for International Students in USA, 2017
The McGraw Center for Business Journalism is offering up to 16 veteran journalists fellowships for Business Journalism. The aim of this fellowship is to support in-depth, ambitious coverage of critical issues related to the global economy and business. The scholarship can be taken at New York.
Eligibility: The fellowship is open to anyone with at least five years of professional experience in journalism. Freelance journalists, as well as reporters and editors currently working at a news organisation may apply.
Applicants from outside the home country will need to meet specific English language/other language requirements in order to be able to study there.
Details: Stipend of $5,000 a month for up to three months.
How to apply: Applicants should submit a well-focused story proposal of no more than three pages through the accompanying online form.
Deadline: Applications will generally be accepted twice a year — in the spring and the fall. The upcoming fall deadline is December 15, 2016; spring applications will be due May 31, 2017.

Ramanujan Research Studentship
Trinity College, University of Cambridge is offering Ramanujan Research Studentship for students wanting to undertake research in mathematics. Trinity College is a constituent college of the University of Cambridge in England. With around 600 undergraduates, 300 graduates, and over 180 fellows, it is the largest college in either of the Oxbridge universities by a number of undergraduates.
Eligibility: Applicants must hold a First Class Honours degree or its equivalent from any university or comparable institution in India.
Applicants should submit a preliminary application and if short-listed, apply to the University of Cambridge for admission to the MASt in Mathematics. Applicants from outside the home country will often need to meet specific English language/other language requirements in order to be able to study there.
Duration: This studentship is normally awarded for nine months in the first instance, while the student takes the course leading to the MASt in Mathematics. Subject to completion of the MASt with a Distinction and registration for the PhD degree, the Studentship will then be renewed for up to three further years, subject to satisfactory progress.
Details: For a student who has no support or only partial support from any other source, the studentship covers: Graduate Course Fees, Maintenance allowance (at up to the minimum rate set by the University), and a Return ticket from India to the United Kingdom.
