Maulana Azad Education Foundation is offering  national scholarships to recognise, promote and assist meritorious girl students belonging to national minorities who can not continue their education without financial support.

Eligibility: Only girl students belonging to national minorities (i.e. Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Jains, Buddhists, Parsis) can apply

  • The applicants should have secured not less than 55 per cent marks (in aggregate) in the secondary school certificate examination (Class X) conducted by any recognised Centre/State Board of Secondary Education. 
  • The family income of the student from all sources should be less than Rs 1lakh.  
  • The applicant should have confirmed admission in Class XI in a recognised institute.

Details: Scholarship will be admissible for expenditure on payment of school/college fee, purchase of syllabus books, purchase of stationery/equipments required for the course and payment of board/lodging charges.

Undergraduate scholarships 

Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT), Australia, is offering six undergraduate scholarships for Indian students enroling in a bachelor’s degree programme offered by the College of Science, Engineering and Health in Semester 1, 2017.

RMIT University is an Australian public university of technology and design.

Details: The scholarship will pay AU$5,000 as a once off payment towards your tuition fees.

Eligibility: The candidate must:

  • Be an Indian citizen
  • Enrol in a bachelor’s degree programme offered by the College of Science, Engineering and Health in Semester 1, 2017
  • Have an excellent academic background with a minimum of 70 per cent marks (Central Board) and 75 per cent (state board)

English language requirement: Applicants from outside the home country will often need to meet specific English language/other language requirements in order to be able to study there.

Leeds Business School scholarships

The University of Leeds, UK, is offering business school scholarships for Indian nationals for for pursuing undergraduate degree at the university.

Detail: An award of £2,500 per year for each standard year of study towards the cost of fees for selected candidates.

Eligibility: All self-funding applicants who are nationals of India who apply for an undergraduate course at the university’s business school and are classed as international for fee purposes will be considered with the exception of applicants progressing from NCUK programmes.

How to apply: In order to be considered for a scholarship, you must be currently holding a conditional or unconditional offer for 2017 entry.
