New Zealand Excellence Awards for Indian students

New Zealand Universities and Education New Zealand (ENZ) are jointly offering up to 35 scholarships for Indian students. These scholarships are available to pursue undergraduate or postgraduate study in New Zealand in the fields of business, fashion and STEM-related programmes (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics). Scholarships are available to pursue the undergraduate or postgraduate programme.

Eligibility: All Applicants must be at least 18 years at the time of application, hold current citizenship of India (and not be a citizen or Permanent Resident of New Zealand or Australia). Hold a minimum equivalent GPA of B+ in most recent or highest tertiary qualification.

Meet Immigration New Zealand requirements for a New Zealand Student Visa including health and evidence of financial support.

Details: Up to 35 scholarships will be awarded. Each scholarship has a value of NZD $5,000 towards the first year tuition fee.

How to apply: All scholarship applications should be sent to scholarship-at-enz.govt.nz (with NZEA application in subject). 

Deadline: For the November 2016 intake: University applications must be submitted by September 1, 2016. Scholarship applications must be submitted (to ENZ) by October 1, 2016.

For the February 2017 intake: University applications must be submitted by October 30, 2016 Scholarship applications must be submitted (to ENZ) by November 30, 2016.

Engineering International Scholarships 2016

The University of Sheffield is pleased to offer Engineering International Scholarships to all international undergraduate students commencing their studies in the Faculty of Engineering in September 2016.

The scholarships are worth £2,500 per year each.

Eligibility and Award Criteria:

n You must hold an offer of a study place and begin your undergraduate studies in September 2016 in one of the following departments: Aerospace Engineering, Automatic Control & Systems Engineering, Bioengineering, Chemical & Biological Engineering, Civil & Structural Engineering, Computer Science, Electronic & Electrical Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, MEng Engineering.

n You must be self-funding and classified as overseas for tuition fee purposes.

n The scholarships are for full-time and part-time students only. 

n Part-time students will receive the full value of a one year of scholarship split pro rata over the duration of an equivalent single full-time academic year.

n The scholarships will be awarded automatically.

n The scholarships will be awarded unconditionally in the first year of studies. Receipt of the award in subsequent years of study is subject to the achievement of a 60% overall average mark in the previous academic year.

n The scholarships will take the form of a tuition fee reduction only.

n The Scholarships will not be awarded where partial funding is applicable from an external 

body and there is an agreement already in place between the external body and the University of Sheffield to offer a tuition fee discount to the student.

n The Alumni Reward can be awarded in conjunction with other University of Sheffield scholarships as long as the individual does not become fully funded, for tuition fee purposes, as a result of the sum of these awards.

International Merit Scholarships 2016

Students can also apply for the 50% Merit scholarship available to international undergraduate and postgraduate students commencing their studies in the Faculty of Engineering in September 2016. We are pleased to offer 5 undergraduate awards and 10 postgraduate awards

n The deadline for applications is Friday 24 June; scholarship results will be announced Friday July 29 2016 

n Student Scholarship Applications for the Grace Hopper Celebration India (GHCI) 2016 Conference are Open

n Women Students from Computing and IT are encouraged to apply and attend India's largest technical conference for women

n The Anita Borg Institute (ABI), a non-profit organisation focused on the advancement of women in computing and technology, today opened the student scholarship applications (for women students) for its flagship conference in India, the Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Computing India (GHCI) 2016. The scholarships will be awarded to deserving female under-graduate, post-graduate and PhD students in computing and IT, to attend the GHCI 2016 conference from 7-9, December, 2016 in Bangalore. GHCI 2016 is produced by the Anita Borg Institute and presented in partnership with ACM India.

n The GHCI Scholarship program aims to increase the participation of women students from science and technical backgrounds across India. 

n The scholarships cover the expenses for attending the GHCI conference including the registration fee, meals and lodging for every scholarship recipient. Travel (by train or bus) is reimbursed up to a maximum of Rs 2,000 per student. The deadline for applying for a scholarship is 29 July, 2016.
