Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT) is inviting applications for science, engineering, and health PG scholarships for meritorious Indian students.

Eligibility: The applicant must have an excellent academic record (students must have a minimum score of 70% from a Section 1 institution or 75% from a Section 2 or 3 institution).

The candidate must have enrolled in a master’s course in the related subjects for 2017 session.

A valid English proficiency test must be submitted for programmes with an IELTS entry requirement of 7.0 and above.

Swiss government scholarships for Indian students

Each year the Swiss Confederation awards Government Excellence Scholarships to promote international exchange and research cooperation between Switzerland and over 180 other countries. As part of this measure the Swiss Government is offering scholarships for Indian scholars to pursue PhD, postdoctoral and research programmes at one of the public funded universities or recognised institution in Switzerland. 

Eligibility:  Master’s degree or equivalent university degree recognised by the Swiss university. The applicant must not be over 35 years old at the time of the application.

Applicants who are in Switzerland for more than one year at the beginning of the scholarship in September are not eligible.

English Language Requirements: Applicants from outside the home country will often need to meet specific English language/other language requirements in order to be able to study there.

Details: PhD scholarships: The scholarship amounts to a monthly payment of CHF 1,920. Tuition fees are waived.

Postdoctoral scholarships: The scholarship amounts to a monthly payment of CHF 3,500.

Research scholarships: The scholarship amounts to a monthly payment of CHF 1,920.

How to apply: The application package can be obtained by email from the Swiss Embassy in Harare. Applications should be submitted in triplicate, with the number of copies indicated (hard copies only). The original, signed documents and attested translations should be submitted, along with two copies. The other two sets are copies of the first set.
