SHEROES.in in association with Founder Institute has announced SHEROES Female Founder Fellowship — a fullly paid scholarship for the world’s largest entrepreneur training & startup launch programme. The programme is slated to start on September 5, 2015. The scholarship is offered to members of the SHEROES network.

Regarding the Fellowship, the SHEROES.in founder, SaireeChahal says, “With this, we want to support first time women entrepreneurs who want to take the leap and can benefit from a structured programme which in 14 weeks accelerate the process of execution, growth and getting the company up and running. This programme has a strong focus on building techtech enabled and scalable companies.”

Any woman candidate who applies for the scholarship is eligible for the SHEROES Female Founder Fellowship. The Institute and SHEROES will then select the most extraordinary, qualified applicant for each chapter, and give them the opportunity to enroll in the programme for free ($500 value).

The recipient of the SHEROES Female Founder Fellowship will be recognised as a female with the utmost potential to become a successful technology entrepreneur, and they will be notified.

Future News contest

The British Council in association with the Scottish Government and Reuters has announced the registration for the, ‘Future News 2015 Competition’. The competition — a three-day event aims to inspire the next generation of journalists. The theme of this year’s conference is the, ‘Business of News.’

The winners will get a fully-funded place at an international conference from   September 4-6, 2015 for aspiring young journalists (between the age group of 18- 25 years) in Edinburgh, Scotland.

Eligibility: The candidates should be aged between 18-25 years.

Should have a bachelor’s degree in any discipline 

How to enter: Enter by writing and submitting an essay or a piece of reportage of no more than 500 words answering the question:

Why should I, from many, many applicants from around the world, win a place at Future NEWS 2015? Why does journalism need me?

How to apply: All entries should be submitted by email to FutureNewsIndia@britishcouncil.org

The subject of the email should state ‘Future NEWS Competition Entry’

Deadline: Final competition entries should be submitted by July 24, 2015.
