Women-Of-Mettle gives students the opportunity to experience real life technical challenge in the steel industry, as well enjoy access to Tata Steel's senior management who act as tutors and mentors. Female Students from selected Engineering Colleges are invited for this challenge. The shortlised student will work on a live technical challenege and will present the solution live to the jury at Jamshedpur. Top 10 will not only get the opportunity to become the receipient of the scholarship but also will have the opportunity for career with Tata Steel.
Eligibility: Women studying in 2nd year of BTech in Electrical / Electronics / Mechanical / Metallurgy / Mining / Industrial Engineering / Mining Machinery / Mineral Processing / Chemical / Civil Engineering / Ceramic Engineering / Production Engineering in the T School.
nShould have 60% or equivalent in Class 10th & 12th.
nTo remain eligible for scholarship, she need to rank amongst top 25% for the respective stream with no backlogs.
Details: Scholar will be entitled for an annual scholarship amount of Rs 1,00,000/- in subsequent year (3rd and 4th Year).
nShe will have the opportunity of joining Tata Steel as Management Trainee Technical (MTT).

Build India scholarships
L&T Construction will sponsor fresh, deserving engineering graduates interested in pursuing an MTech in Construction Technology & Management at NT {Madras / Delhi) and NIT (Surathkal /Trichy) and becoming effective Project Managers. L&T Construction is part of the Larsen & Toubro conglomerate, and a leader in the field. The scholarship reinforces L&T Construction's keenness to enhance the industry-academia interface. The 24-month course will start in July 2017.
Eligibility: Only First Class graduates in Civil / Electrical Engineering who will pass out in 2017 from a recognised Indian university / institute, with the following consistent academic record:
n10th Std : Minimum 60% or CGPA of 6.50 on a scale of 10
n12th Std : Minimum 60% or CGPA of 6.50 on a scale of 10
nBE. / BTech : Minimum 60% or CGPA of 6.75 on a scale of 10
Selection Process: Involves Written Test (Subject Test & Aptitude Test) & Interview conducted by NT (Madras/ Delhi) and NIT (Surathkal /Trichy) in co-ordination with L&T Construction. Final selection will be subject to the candidate's medical fitness.
Details: For the 24-month course, L&T will pay candidates a stipend of Rs 13,400 per month as well as sponsorship and tuition fee to NT / NIT.
