A seven-member team of officials led by Drug Controller raided Vardhman Pharma in Paonta Sahib last night and seized about 30 spurious drugs manufactured under fake pharma companies.

Navneet Marwaha, Drug Controller, said some drugs made by the firm figured in the monthly drug alert issued last week by the central agencies and since the firm had no licence to make drugs they raided it last night.

Drugs supplied by it were found substandard in Assam and were manufactured using fake drug firms like AIMS International, Saibliss Pharma and Phoenix Pharma.

A case has been registered against it today.— TNS
