Leader of the Opposition PK Dhumal has been sidelined and out of sheer frustration, his son Anurag Thakur is trying to defend his family fiefdom by levelling baseless allegation against the government.
This was stated by Forest Minister Thakur Singh Bharmouri, Excise and Taxation Minister Prakash Chaudhry and Chief Parliamentary Secretary ID Lakhanpal in a joint statement today.
They said infighting was on within the state BJP, with the Dhumals feeling marginalised.
Ridiculing Anurag’s claim of getting All Inida Institute of Medical Sciences sanctioned for the state, the Congress leaders said he was trying to undermine the efforts of the government.
He should verify facts before commenting on the performance of the government.
They said the BJP leaders were not leaving any stone unturned to humiliate their own leaders. “They are finding it difficult to digest the achievements of the government under the leadership of Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh and are trying to divert the attention of the people from the core issue of development,” the ministers said.
Advising Anurag to refrain from issuing baseless statements, they said the people were well aware of the misdeeds of the BJP and would give them a befitting reply soon.
