Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) workers today burnt the effigy of Uttarakhand Chief Minister Harish Rawat to express resentment over the hike in petrol and diesel prices.

Led by their Mahanagar president Vipin Rana, the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha workers gathered at Lansdowne Chowk and burnt the effigy of the Chief Minister. The protesters alleged that the state government, on one hand, was resorting to large-scale corruption, and on the other it was hiking petrol and diesel prices.
