Naresh Saran, BSP state president, today said his party would fight the Zila Parishad election on party symbol and announce the names of the candidates soon.
Saran said the party would not fight other elections comprising sarpanch, panch and block samiti on party symbol, but they would extend support to the candidates who belonged to their party.
The BSP leader appreciated the move of Manohar Lal Khattar government of making matriculation mandatory for contesting the poll.
“We appreciate the move of the government. However, it should have been implemented a little earlier,” said Saran.
