Chandumajra is Mohali ‘halqa’ in charge

Anandpur Sahib MP Prof Prem Singh Chandumajra was given responsibility of Mohali affairs as its ‘halqa’ in charge by the Shiromani Akali Dal high command here today.

The announcement in this regard was made at a meeting, called in a jiffy, at a banquet hall here by the party’s district (Mohali) president Ujjagar Singh Badali this morning. In the meeting, which was attended by almost all the local Akali leaders, Badali announced that he got the message in this connection from party president Sukhbir Singh Badal.

“He (Sukhbir) has decided to give the responsibility of Mohali halqa in charge to Chandumajra. He will look after the party affairs in the district,” said Badali.

Chandumajra said that he was ready to take up the responsibility. “Resolving the differences among local Akali leaders and bringing them all on one platform for the betterment of the party is on top of my agenda,” he said. — TNS
