Dehradun, March 20
CPI (ML) general secretary Deepankar Bhattacharya today asserted that the Modi government at the Centre was working against the people.
Addressing a press conference at Srinagar Garhwal, Deepankar Bhattacharya said the step of the Central Government to impose tax on EPF of employees shows the anti-employee face of the Modi government.
He said Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the campaign of the Lok Sabha elections had promised bringing back black money stashed abroad but had failed to fulfil that promise. He said even the condition of farmers had turned from bad to worse.
Farmers were committing suicides and the Centre had failed to address their issues. He said the government was carrying forward the divisive agenda of the RSS.
Referring to Uttarakhand, Bhattacharya said Uttarakhand had become a turf of political battle between power hungry politicians. He said if the state government failed to prove its majority, a fresh election must be held in the state. — TNS
