Dehradun, April 11
The Uttarakhand Kranti Dal (Panwar group) has released its first list of 26 candidates for the coming Assembly elections in the state. Party president Trivendra Singh Panwar, while addressing mediapersons here today, said the party held a meeting at Srinagar on April 3 in which it decided to contest all 70 Assembly seats. The rest of the names would be declared in the next two lists, he said.
Panwar said Upendra Gaur would contest from Yamunotri seat whereas Vishnu Rawat and Bachi Ram Uniyal would fight for Gangotri and Badrinath seats, respectively. Other candidates are Brijkishor Thapliyal from Rudraprayag, Ganesh Bhatt from Devprayag, Kishan Singh Rawat from Narendra Nagar, Sohan Pal from Pratap Nagar, Rekha Miyan from Tehri, Siya Singh Chauhan from Dhanaulti, Geeta Bisht from Dharampur, NK Gusain from Raipur, Anirudh Sharma form Mussoorie, Surendra Datt from Doiwala, Jaydeep Bhatt from Haridwar (rural), Satpal Singh from Bhagwanpur, Adesh Sharma from Roorkee, Pradep Rana from Yamkeshwar, Ashutosh Puri from Srinagar, Jay Mamgai from Chaubattakhal, Vimla Negi from Lal Kuan, Jagmohan Valmiki from Nainital, Sushil Uniyal from Haldwani, Rakesh Chauhan from Ramnagar, Vijaypal from Bajpur and Irfan Alvi from Rudrapur.—TNS
