Uttarakhand Jan Morcha leader Jagat Singh Martolia joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) with his hundreds of supporters here on Monday.

The joining ceremony was organised at the BJP district office in the presence of Didihat MLA and former BJP state chief Bishen Singh Chuphal.

Martolia, a fiery leader and vocal on public issues had formed the Uttarakhand Jan Morcha,some months ago, after leaving CPI (ML).

He was associated with CPI (ML) for four years. “The BJP would get a boost in Dharchulaconstituency with the joining of Jagat Singh Martoliya,” said Chuphal.
