Muslim youths join BJP in Haridwar, repose faith in Modi

Haridwar, January 19

Several Muslim youths joined the BJP in the presence of Haridwar city MLA Madan Kaushik here today.

BJP divisional secretary Haidar Naqvi was instrumental in bringing these youths into the party fold. Naqvi claimed that these youths joined the party because they were impressed with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s governance and development works being done by Madan Kaushik.

The MLA welcomed them into the party and said he was concerned about the issues of Muslims and had tried to implement development projects in Muslim-dominated areas.

“It’s a sign of pro-BJP wave and recognition of development-oriented governance of the party that people from all sections of society are joining the BJP. The party cadres are given due respect unlike in other political parties where family legacy and nearness to leaders is valued,” said Kaushik.

Mayor Manoj Garg said areas having greater Muslim population in the Municipal Corporation periphery had been brought under the development plan.

“The Congress has always regarded Muslims as a vote bank and never seriously took steps to educate them and uplift their standard of living. The BJP takes care of the interests of minority communities at all levels. Every section of society has realized that the Congress has fooled them since Independence but the BJP government at the Centre had in 30 months shown mirror to the Congress. Development and communal harmony are the main focus of the Union government while Congress-led governments have been playing vote bank and divisive politics,” said Garg.

Aamir Ali, Shahnawaz Ansari, Firoze Ansari, Salman Ansari, Wazid, Ahsan Ansari, Meharban, Wasim, Soheb, Ashu, Parvez, Salamat, Uvesh, Shahdi, Aman, Shah Rukh, Imran, Ashraf, Javed Rahman, Shahdab and Afzal joined the BJP.
