Trivendra Singh Panwar, president of the Uttarakhand Kranti Dal (Panwar) has hailed the President’s rule in the state. He said, “The President’s rule was necessary as the Congress as well as the BJP had created political and social crises in the state due to which mafias were having a field day.”

“The activities of mafias and corrupt bureaucrats have slowed down after the imposition of the President rule. This has given some respite to the masses from the autocratic reign of the BJP and the Congress,” he claimed.

The UKD (P) would lodge an FIR against former Chief Minister Harish Rawat over the sting operation conducted last month, he said.

Addressing mediapersons here today, Panwar said the party had decided to reunite all workers and supporters, who went astray due to some misunderstanding. “For this, the party will launch a statewide campaign to expose the Congress and the BJP,” he added.

The UKD (P) leader also demanded an investigation into the “scams” allegedly done by the Congress government. A white paper on the expenses of disaster relief fund should also be released, he added.
