Prabhu to inaugurate logistic park

Union Minister for Railways Suresh Prabhu and Chief Minister Harish Rawat will inaugurate the rail-linked Multimodal Logistics Park, a joint venture of CONCOR and SIDCUL at Pantnagar tomorrow. A MoU was signed between SIDCUL and CONCOR for development of the rail linked logistic Park in 2013 through a joint venture company.
A joint venture agreement was signed in 2013 with the name of SIDCUL CONCOR Infra Company limited with a capital of Rs 100 crore (shares distribution 4 per cent CONCOR and 26 percent SIDCUL) SIDCUL has provided 38.23 acres at Pantnagar for 30 years for the purpose. The total project cost is pegged at Rs 90.78 core and the project shall provide rail based ICD for both Exim and domestic traffic and will also handle bulk cargo transported in railway wagons under Indian Railways private freight terminal policy. — TNS
