Pre-Karva Chauth event
A pre-Karva Chauth event was organised at Maharaja Regency and Friends Regency, wherein women participated in a ramp show and exhibited designer clothes. The event was choreographed by Amrita Kapoor and adjudged by Pooja Khanna, winner of the Super Mom Season-II and singer Rajni Jain Arya, winner of PTC Music Awards 2014.
Seminar
A seminar on stress management was orgnised at the Chamber of Industrial and Commercial Undertakings (CICU), Ludhiana, in Focal Point. For the first time, it held a programme for the improvement of personnel.
Walkathon
A walkathon on World Sight Day was organised by the Sankara Eye Hospital, Ludhiana, in association with the Lions Club and the Young Indians. The objective was to create awareness about visual impairment and curable blindness. A distance of 5 km was covered and around 150 people participated in the Walkathon. —TNS
