National Entrance Screening Test (NEST)
NEST is a compulsory entrance test for admission to the National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER), Bhubaneswar and University of Mumbai — Department of Atomic Energy, Centre for Excellence in Basic Sciences ( UM-DAE CBS) Mumbai for MSc intergated programmes. Candidates may apply for either NISER, or CBS, or for both. Selected candidates will receive a monthly scholarship of Rs5000 and an annual contingency grant.
Eligibility:
At least 60 per cent marks in aggregate (or equivalent grade) in Class XII (or equivalent) examination from any recognised Board in India.
General category candidates born on or after July 15, 1996 are eligible to apply.
Test pattern : The question paper will have five sections. The first section, which is compulsory for all candidates will include general questions. The next four sections will include questions on (1) biology, (2) chemistry, (3) mathematics and (4) physics. Candidates may opt to answer any three of the four sections. All sections carry equal marks. The questions will be aimed testing the comprehension and analytic ability of the candidates. The questions will be objective type with four answers given for each question. There may be one or more correct answers for each question. Wrong answers will be awarded negative marks

Birla Institute of Technology And Science Admission Test- (BITSAT 2016)

BITSAT Online tests May 14 -28, 2016
Application are invited for a computer-based online test conducted by Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) Pilani for admissions to integrated first degree programmes. The Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) Pilani, is an all-India Institution declared as Deemed to be University under Section 3 of the UGC Act. Admissions to all the Integrated First Degree programmes of BITS, Pilani, at Pilani campus, Goa campus, and Hyderabad Campus for the academic year 2016-17 will be made on the basis of this test. Eligibility :
(i) For admission to the programmes in different campuses, except B.Pharm.: Candidates should have passed the Class XII examination from a recognised Central or state board or its equivalent with physics, chemistry, and mathematics and adequate proficiency in English.
(ii) For admission to B.Pharm.: Candidates should have passed the Class XII with physics, chemistry, and biology and adequate proficiency in English. However, candidates with PCM may also apply for Pharmacy programme.
Only Students who are appearing for Class XII examination in 2016 or who have passed Class XII Examination in 2015 are eligible to appear in the BITSAT-2016 test.

Medical entrance test
The online entrance exam, Uni-GAUGE EMeD of ERA Foundation and COMEDK-UGET will be held as a combined exam on May 8, 2016. This entrance exam will be for admission to BE / BTech, MBBS and BDS courses at member universities of ERA Foundation and for colleges affiliated to K.P.C.F, Karnataka. The exam will be a computer based test and will be conducted at over 150 cities across India. Uni-GAUGE EMeD and COMEDK-UGET were conducted as separate entrance exams for admission to undergraduate programmes in the previous year. Online application forms for COMEDK-UGET and Uni-GAUGE EMeD are available from February 8, 2016.

CSIR-UGC Test For Junior Research Fellowship and Eligibility for Lectureship NET
CSIR will hold the Joint CSIR-UGC Test for determining the eligibility of the Indian National candidates for the award of Junior Research Fellowships (JRF) NET and for determining eligibility for appointment of Lecturers (NET) in certain subject areas falling under the faculty of Science.
Educational qualification: BS-4 year program/BE/BTech/BPharma/MBBS/Integrated BS-MS/MSc or equivalent degree with at least 55 per cent marks for general and OBC
Candidates enrolled for M.Sc or having completed 10+2+3 years of the above qualifying examination are also eligible to apply in the above subject under the Result Awaited (RA) category.
Age limit: For JRF (NET): Minimum 19 years and maximum 28 years as on 01-01-2016 (upper age limit may be relaxed up to 5 years as in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC
