The viewers love you for your role in Khichdi. Your comment?

I am really grateful that my character has come out so well; the writers and director have put in lot of efforts. I am happy that I could do justice to the role of Praful. Praful is a very engaging character amongst the ones I have played. The positive responses from audiences mean a lot.

How does it feel to be back with the much-loved show?

The audiences have shown us a lot of appreciation and I am thrilled to be a part of an iconic show like Khichdi again. The show is different than most quintessential shows on TV today. The love and support received from audiences encouraged us to make a comeback on the small screen.

How is this Khichdi different from the original?

Even though all our characters are the same, new Khichdi is back with a double dose of laughter and entertainment. We want to try and fulfil viewers’ wishes of witnessing the show in its original element, while showcasing it in a different context.

Are you more inclined towards movies or TV shows?

I am currently focussing on Khichdi. If given a chance, I would always love to do movies over TV shows.

What is new about your characterthis time?

The characters are same but the context in which they have been put forward is way different from the previous ones. The viewers will have to see the episodes to know it. It’s going to be a visual treat for them.

What is your message to the viewers?

In this day and age of nuclear families, this show reintroduces the flavour of joint families. It is a total stress buster and it lightens up the mood of the viewers. I would advise everyone to take some time off from their stressful routines and do what they like, what makes them happy.

Which is your favourite character from the show?

I think my favourite character is Praful – the one who always supports his wife.
