Mumbai: Members of the Sikh community from Navi Mumbai, Thane and Kalyan under the banner of the Maharashtra Sikh Association on Wednesday held protests outside the headquarters of the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation demanding justice for those killed in the 1984 anti-Sikh riots. “We have been unsuccessfully seeking justice for over 33 years. Even today the accused are roaming free,” Daljit Singh Bal, president, MSA, said, while addressing the gathering. He hit out at the ruling BJP government at the Centre for “not doing enough to bring the killers to book”. TNS
