2 STPs to be set up at Kiratpur Sahib

Kiratpur Sahib: Local Bodies Minister Navjot Singh Sidhu said steps would be taken soon to check flow of sewage into the Asth Ghat at Gurdwara Patalpuri Sahib in Kiratpur Sahib town. Sidhu said in the first stage a sewage treatment plant (STP) of 2 million litre per day (MLD) capacity would be set up at Kalyanpur village to treat the sewage of Kiratpur Sahib town. Later another STP with a capacity to treat 56 MLD would be set up to treat polluted water being drained into the river in 6 km area from Anandpur Sahib to Kiratpur Sahib, he said. TNS
