Claiming to be in possession of the papers, Bains alleged that relatives of the Speaker, Secretary and the Deputy Secretary were among those selected.

Rubbishing the charge, Speaker Rana KPSingh, “The recruitment has been done in a fair and transparent manner. It is for the first time in the history of the Punjab Vidhan Sabha that an advertisement was given to invite applications. No one is related to me. I am the sole authority to conduct the recruitment. If anybody has any problem, there is a legal remedy to it.”
