BSF nabs UP man trying to enter Pak

The BSF today arrested a UP resident while he was allegedly trying to cross over to Pakistan near Border Out Post (BOP) Kahangarh in Attari. The accused has been identified as Sahid Ali of Naryanpura, Gonda district, Uttar Pradesh.

Inspector Siaram Gurhar, B Company of 88 Battalion, BSF, stated in a complaint at Ghrinda police station, that on August 4, the accused was trying to cross the Indo-Pak border around 8 pm. The BSP troops noticed the activity and nabbed him. During interrogation, the accused confessed that he wanted to get weapon training in Pakistan. He has links with Kashmiri militants and wanted to cross the border. The BSF jawans recovered a diary and a mobile phone from his possession. — TNS
