Kanwar Devinder Singh, 83, son of Maharaja of erstwhile Patiala state Bhupinder Singh, passed away after prolonged illness at his residence here today. He is survived by his wife, a son and a daughter.
Devinder Singh, uncle of Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh, had been unwell for the past one year, said the family.
Kanwar Devinder was married to Biba Amarjeet Kaur, a former Rajya Sabha member and daughter of erstwhile PEPSU Chief Minister Col Raghbir Singh.
Kanwar Devinder’s children are currently living abroad. His cremation will take place once they return to India, said the family.
