Chd-Nanded flight starts on January 8

Bringing good news for Sikh pilgrims, Air India has announced a direct flight from Chandigarh to Nanded in Maharashtra. The twice-a-week flight (on Tuesday and Wednesday) will start on January 8.
Flight number 817 will leave from Chandigarh at 9.10 am and reach Nanded (Hazoor Sahib) at 11.30 am, while flight number 818 will leave from Nanded at 12.05 pm and reach Chandigarh at 2.20 pm.
Hazoor Sahib, also known as Takht Sachkhand Sri Hazur Abchalnagar Sahib and Abchal Nagar, is one of the five Takhts in Sikhism. It is located on the banks of the Godavari river in Nanded.
The structure is built at a place where Guru Gobind Singh died. The gurdwara was built between 1832 and 1837 on the orders of Maharaja Ranjit Singh.
