Cotton factory gutted in R’sthan
Abohar: A cotton factory was destroyed in fire on the Sangria-Saliwala road in Hanumangarh on Saturday evening. Vijay Mittal, one of the partners of the factory, said sparks emanating from machines engulfed cotton stacks, which immediately spread. Fire tenders from Sangria and Hanumangarh were called to control the fire, besides using the internal fire control system. He said cotton worth Rs 10 lakh and machinery of an equal amount was gutted in the incident. Fire tenders battled hard to control the blaze and prevented the fire from spreading to other structures, eyewitnesses said. oc
