Diljit, Dhami tweet in support of Johal

Chandigarh: More Punjabi artistes have come out in support of UK national Jagtar Singh Johal seeking his immediate release. Diljit Dosanjh and Jaz Dhami tweeted in his support and joined the #freejagginow campaign. “Saddened to hear the reports of torture of Jagtar Singh Johal. Whatever the allegations against him, every person has the right to a free trial. As Sikhs we pray for sarbat da bhala,” Diljit tweeted. In Sangrur, AAP MP Bhagwant Mann asked the government and the police to share the evidence against Johal. “The police claim that they were keeping tabs on Johal's activities over the past year. But why did they not inform the UK Government? The police still work like they did during the days of terrorism,” Mann alleged. tns
