The Director, Public Instructions (Elementary Education), Punjab, has suspended the services of Veerjit Kaur, Block Elementary Education Officer, Tarn Taran No 1, for refusing to shift her office from the building of the local Government Elementary School, Char Khamba.
The department had been issuing her letters in this regards for the last more than one and a half years, but she was refusing to abide by the orders of the higher authorities.
Kanwaljit Singh, District Education Officer (Elementary Education), said Palwinder Singh, Block Elementary Education Officer, Naushehra Pannuan, was given the additional charge of the Tarn Taran office.
After suspending Veerjit Kaur the shifting work of the office from the school building has been started to nearby Malia village in the old building of the DEO office.
